What about Bunya nuts ??
I’d like to roast – and try “dehydrating” ( to make flour)
any time suggestions welcome !!
Sorry, Rene – I don’t have any idea.
Iam going to do cashews nuts in the airfrier when do you add salt to them as this will be my first time to try this
Hi Daniel, You can salt them after it is air-fried.
Hi, I made this Nutella chocolate recipe, it turned out bitter, I used honey as a sweetener, any clue why
Which recipe did you make, Sahar? Is it hazelnut butter?
Almonds are wonderful in the air fryer! We don’t eat them any other way. They are not as hard either when they are air fried!
Couldn’t agree more, Linda! Thanks for stopping by.
Can pine nuts be toasted in the air fryer and, if so, what time and temp would you suggest?
Andrea, I haven’t tried it but since pine nuts are smaller in size, I would try 2 minutes and at 325F.
I have soaked my raw almonds overnight to reduce physical acid in them. Then drain them for a day on the bench. Do you think 6 minutes for pre soaked nuts will be enough? And would your recommended temperature be ok? I’m trialing ot right now so time will tell lol.
I’ve never tried with soaked almonds, so no idea how that’ll work. If you get a chance, please do come back and share your experience.
I often do curried cashews in my oven for 45 mins. If I do small batches in the air fryer will the curry smell taint the appliance?
Don’t think so. Just air it out after you are done cooking.
This is a great way to do small-batch roasted nuts! I like to toast just what I need as I use them for a recipe or snack since nuts last longer when kept in their raw state.
My air fryer has a rotating basket that makes this task a breeze.
How long would you recommend for pecans?
Kelly – I don’t think it will need more than 6. I would start with 4 though.
How about adding spices to the nuts?
Sure you could do that too! Just coat it with a bit of oil so that the spices stick to the nuts.
Do you oil them prior to air frying or after cooled?
No, I don’t. I don’t use oil at all. They release their natural oils.
