If I could do cartwheels, I would. Really.
I don't bake a lot of cakes so when I make one, and it turns out to be so perfect that my kids demand that I make it for their birthday, I do go crazy.
Date cake has been by far the best cake that we have ever eaten that tasted soo good even though it was not loaded with any frosting.
What's not to love about a cake that's made from luscious dates and is moist, soft and so easy to make that you can whip it up in a blender!

Hi there! Looks fabulous! How much in terms of weight (grams/kg) does this recipe yield? Really want to try this out
Anushree Jayaram says
Hi Angeleena - I am sorry I don't know how much it weighs.
Neha Saxena says
Hi. Is it 1.5 cups whole dates or 1.5 cups chopped dates?
Approx how many number of dates?
Anushree Jayaram says
Hi Neha, if the ingredients say 1.5 cups whole dates, chopped it means take 1.5 cups of whole dates and then chop it. If it reads 1.5 cups chopped dates, it means chop the dates first and then measure them. 1.5 cups of dates makes about 30 medium sized dates. Hope this helps!

Hi there! Feel free to substitute the wheat flour with all purpose flour in the same ratio i.e with 1/2 cup all purpose flour.
